WideOpenSpaces will be devoted to topics on student ministry, open space technology, as well as idea and curriculum sharing from various sources. if you’d like to submit ideas, curriculum, or a post re: student ministry please simply leave a comment below and the admins will get back with you. welcome to openspace student ministry’s first official day in existence. i open not with a post but with an invitation to join a community of people from various backgrounds and experiences in ministry with students and families. this community is openspace, and its basic tenets regarding ministry with students and families are:

-curriculum is more than printed resources and materials
-we measure what we value
-adolesence is a journey
-transformation is a process
-creativity is key
-innovation is vital
-leadership is shared
-transparency is required
-generative connections are foundational
-possibilities are endless
-students are not the future of the church but the present
